High Number Of Haverhill Sophomores Earned Zeros On MCAS
WHAV reports Haverhill Public Schools faces a new challenge in its effort to raise the district’s MCAS scores. Last spring, 441 Haverhill High School 10th graders took the Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System test; 103 of those students received a zero, representing 25% of the group.
The shorthand IDK is noted as standing for “I don’t know” and is used in the sense of not caring. The article’s headline says that, with the graduation requirement absent, more Haverhill students display apathy toward the MCAS.
