Haverhill Secures $813,000 FEMA Grant; Fire Department Outlines Equipment Use
Haverhill said yesterday that it secured an $813,000 federal grant and credited its team for the award. The Federal Emergency Management Agency issued an announcement about the grant last Friday, and the city followed with an explanation of how the equipment funded by the grant would be put into service for the fire department.
Fire Chief Christopher Cesati said the work to prepare the grant application involved Deputy Fire Chief Richard Shellene, internal staff who handled the application, and outside consultant Merchant McIntyre Associates.
